This organic Ceylon boasts a particularly full-bodied flavour and a bright orange colour. It’s a popular classic that surprises with its unmistakably intense character and sparkling freshness.
Ceylon is traditionally cultivated in the tea gardens of the Uva region in what is today Sri Lanka. Uva is one of the six main tea growing areas of the central highlands, which are located around the mountain “Adam’s Peak”. At an altitude of 1,800 metres, this area has the perfect humidity and rainfall for our tea to achieve its unique quality. Because the tea leaves can grow slowly here, they develop a particularly soft but intense taste. Between June and September they have developed their full aroma and the tea is ready for harvesting.
GREAT CEYLON comes from one of the most sustainable organic plantations in Sri Lanka, where the utmost consideration is given to not only nature but also the well-being of the people who work there and their families.
